When a close friend's sister developed a condition that kept her in & out of hospitals for awhile, I wanted to give her something to encourage her. I lived too far away to go visit her in the hospital, so I sent someone in my place - this little elf, who always had flowers for her whenever she needed some.
This little guy was the first of my Penny People, but his world has since become quite populated with other 1-inch folk.
